to Southeast Sustainability Committee
Hi All,
It's been a while since I've checked in. I hope you're all enjoying
your summer.
It's been a goal of mine for a while to engage business associations
in this neighborhood sustainability effort. The Hawthorne Boulevard
Business Association was interested in initiating something in the
spring but things kind of lost steam. I'd like to either get that
going again or start working with another BA. Do any of you think
BA's in your neighborhood would be interested? Have you already
worked with a BA in your neighborhood? Do you have any contacts that
I could connect with to get the ball rolling? Are you interested in
going to a meeting with me to talk to a business association in your
neighborhood about the sustainability committee concept? Any thoughts
or ideas are welcome.
I think it's important to involve the business community and I'm
willing to put effort into it if there's interest. Let me know what
you think.
Tim

Hi Tim:
I'm active in the Belmont Business Association and Montevilla and East Tabor Business Association, and have some contact in the Woodstock outfit. So I think we can work you in sometime this fall.
Let's talk or share a cup of coffee soon. We'll need to present the BAs with an agenda. I also would like to hear your thoughts on the Civic Ecology project.

Hi Bryan,
That sounds great. It sounds like there's some interest in Sellwood also. My plan is to make the rounds starting this Sept./Oct. It would be great if you can help open the door to the associations you mentioned.
I've got time next week if you want to meet up for coffee. Thursday and Friday are wide open for me. Let me know if you have time then.
