Death of Lew Aston

Lewis Eldridge Aston, 67, of Goose Creek, passed away November 17, 2013.  Born in Savannah, GA, he was the son of the late John C. and Sarah Aston and husband of forty five years to Lynda Aston.

Lewis served in the United States Air Force and retired from Southern Division in 2003. He was a member of the Civil Engineers Club, SAME and former board member of the Friends of Berkeley County Library.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lynda Aston; daughter, Jennifer LaVigne of Goose Creek; grandson, Deacon LaVigne of Goose Creek; sister, Alice Livingston of Ravenel. Mr. Aston is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held November 24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in St. Andrews Church, 301 Red Bank Road, Goose Creek. The family will receive friends following the service.

In June 2011, Lewis received a double lung transplant, extending his life by more than two years.
