Michael T. Taylor

February 6, 1980 - August 21, 2013 

Michael T. Taylor peacefully entered into eternal rest at his home in Charleston, SC on August 21, 2013. He was born on Feb, 6 1980, son of Jane T. Terrell and Robert W. Taylor. Michael graduated from South Aiken High in 1998 and attended the University of South Carolina. He enjoyed writing, painting, soccer, and many water sports including scuba diving and surfing. His family admired his love for others and dedication to his Christian faith throughout his life.

 

Surviving family also includes his stepfather Clyde W. Terrell, stepmother Leigh D. Taylor, sister Tonya Jane Roper, brothers Robert W. Taylor Jr., Clyde W. Terrell Jr., Thomas D. Terrell, grandmother Alice Prevatt of Lumberton, NC, nieces Savannah Jane Roper, Tonya Victoria (Tori) Roper, Alice Jane Taylor, nephews Jonathan Roper, and Paul W. Taylor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. This world lost a kind heart, but gained a true angel.

 

The relatives and friends of Michael T. Taylor are invited to attend his memorial service at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway. Burial will be private.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in the name of Michael T. Taylor to "Crisis Ministries" 573 Meeting St Charleston, SC 29403 (http://www.charlestonhomeless.org/), the Charleston Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (303 Monarch Court, Charleston, SC 29414), or the SC Chapter of the Alzheimer's Foundation (http://www.alz.org/sc/).
