Hi Everyone,
I'm on the Board of Directors/volunteering for two non-profits, the World Soccer Project and America SCORES! NY, and we're organizing a co-ed, women's and
beginners indoor soccer (futsal) league starting October 22nd to raise money for these organizations. I've put information about the leagues below. There are still spaces available, and if
you would like to register, you can do so here.
League: Manhattan Indoor, Fall 2013
Start Date: October 22nd – mid-January
Game Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays; start times vary between 7:00 – 9:00 PM
Type: Futsal ball, some indoor soccer rules, 5 v. 5
Price: $1000/team; $99/player – 8 games + playoffs
Roster: 10 people
Location: West Harlem Futsal Gym at 138th and Amsterdam
- The World Soccer Project (WSP) is a soccer association with two related purposes: to provide an exceptional soccer service (in the form of adult recreational soccer leagues), and to use funds generated from that service to promote local and international
causes for under-served children.
- America SCORES! NY partners with middle schools in Harlem to provide a high quality, team-based program that integrates soccer, poetry and community service-learning. Our innovative approach improves students’ health, academic achievement and
civic engagement.
