It has been too long my friends. Time to assemble the news team!

Vote on these dates. If these end up not working we'll get more
alternates.

I propose my house as the meeting place. My wife is on vacation so
I've got the house to myself :) I'm on the west side of Elkhart, a
block from 19. Not quite as convenient as goshen for the Warsaw
people, but not bad. I'll feed you guys too :-)

Ooooh. Having seen your twitpics of food that sounds good.

Looks like the meeting is leaning towards Tuesday June 30th. I'm the
only one that hasn't voted for that date so far :-) My wife will be
back from her vacation by then, so I'll have to clear doing the
meeting at our house with her, but I've got some brownie points earned
up, so it shouldn't be a problem ;-)

If I do get to host, do you guys want crazy good burgers (http://www.foodnetwork.com/50-states-50-burgers/package/index.html
) with a couple kinds of fries, or would you prefer bbq chicken with
baked beans and potato salad or something?

I would prefer burgers. I'm part of the 2% of the population that
doesn't like BBQ chicken.

I did a cool thing in python last week that I'd like to talk about.
I'm also exploring django, if anyone is interested in the differences
it has with rails...

Burgers are fine with me but I can't imagine not liking bbq chicken.
I'm fine with some python/django.

Are we leaning towards next week then? I did clear it with my wife, I
haven't checked the doodle thing recently...

It looks like right now the 30th has the most people.

I'd enjoy seeing the django things as well, and I'd love the menu! Jon if you want I could come early and help cook, since I love cooking too. :)

I of course wouldn't mind updating you all on the new ways I'm working with QuickBooks + Ajax.

Or if anyone's interested I could contribute a JavaScript lesson -- about object oriented JS, variable scope/namespace, background/parallel processing, or just a JS Q&A. Anyone?

I wouldn't mind some js chatter.

I'm fine with some js too. We'll see how long Alec goes and if there
is more time we'll do that. If not, we'll save it for next time.

Friends, I am a GIGANTIC JERK.

I am in a play. I have absolutely no free time on weeknights from now
to the end of July. I was so excited to be emailing people from my
phone that I didn't really think about what I was emailing.

I will not be able to make it to this meeting to talk about Python or
Django.

To make it up to you, I have attached this photo of an Ostrich. You
can imagine that he is saying, "HEY GUYS! Sorry."

That ostrich says it all: "I'm a jerk" and "Of course we forgive you" all in one package. Thanks for the picture!
