I am shopping for an office in Warsaw and a full-time developer. If
you know somebody who is bright, OK with risk and willing to work in
Warsaw, I would love to hear from them.

Tiny but cutting-edge consultancy seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic web
designer/developer who would like to become a Ruby on Rails Jedi. I am
creating an organizational culture that develops bright, enthusiastic,
creative people into world-class web developers. You'll be employee
number two. Within 90 days, I think we'll be finding and training
employee number three together.
At a minimum, you've successfully completed a course on (or taught
yourself) C, C++, C# or Java and you've fiddled around with either PHP
or ColdFusion or some other web-programming environment that mixes
code into web pages. You'll need to know HTML, CSS and the basics of
Javascript - we're building web apps. To hang, you're going to need
strong communication skills, including the ability to write well. Not
knowing the difference between "To, Two and Too" and "There, Their and
They're" won't work. Office environment may occasionally resemble a
suburban home (for at least a few weeks) and may occasionally be
filled with Hip Hop or baked goods.
We'll develop using Ruby, Rails, and jQuery but even if all those
concepts are new to you, you'll still do fine if you're comfortable in
a text editor and on the command line. We use Linux (for servers) and
Mac OS (for development) and there may be some occasional sysadmin
work to be done.
Initially, the position will be hourly (8:45 - 5:00'ish) but could
become a salaried position down the road. The hourly wage to start
will be higher than minimum wage but not much - as we grow, you'll be
in on the rewards. Before we get our fancy building and I get a new
car, you'll be making competitive wage for a developer in the midwest
and have a competitive package of benefits.
This position is full-time and on-site in Warsaw, Indiana, USA.

Hey Jerry I just now saw this message. I was wondering if you found a
person you needed or if you were still looking. If you are still
looking I will be happy to shoot you an email with what experience I
have and what I'm looking to do or we could also arrange a phone
meeting or even possibly a face to face.
