Dear South Asia Eval co-members,

UNIFEM is requesting for proposals from qualified consulting firms to assist in the design and conduct of an external evaluation of the SAARC-UNIFEM’s Regional Programme on SAARC Gender Info Base (SGIB) Programme.

SGIB is a South Asian repository of qualitative and quantitative data and information on gender related issues and women empowerment. This regional effort crosses the conventional parameters of statistical data gathering exercises and aims at creating a comprehensive single pool of data/information on gender issues in different formats, including multimedia, making it a One Stop Gender Data Shop.

Given below is a link to a Request for Proposals from UNIFEM for the Evaluation of this Regional Programme.

Please note that As per SAARC norms only firms registered within SAARC member countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka) are eligible for applying for the proposal. The members of the Evaluation Team should also be nationals of SAARC Member States. UNIFEM will not accept applications from firms that do not meet the above criteria.

Requesting all eligible and interested parties to please get in touch at the following email ID, should you be interested:

The last date for receipt of completed Proposals as specified in the RFP is 30 October 2010.

Thanks
