Native Landscaping in Southampton

All,

I am in the process of putting together an application for a grant to help support native landscaping in Southampton.  The grant is a program from Brightside St. Louis called Neighbors Naturescaping.  The plan is to replace turf grass in one of the Wherry Wedges with native vegetation.

The grant application is due August 10th, so I'm forging ahead with it.  However, I would like to extend an invitation to each of you.  If you are interested in landscaping with native Missouri plants, or just interested in learning more about Missouri native plants, please join me in this endeavor.

The work involved will include planning the landscaping, planting, and maintaining the garden once it is planted.

The grant will provide us with up to $1,500 of which at least 60% must be spent on plants.  The remaining funds can be spent on tools and hardscape (i.e. rocks, etc.).
