Subject: Inglewood Area Presentation - This Saturday - Emerald Ash Borer - Inglewood Library

Greetings,

Please let your constituents know about the Emerald Ash Borer presentation this Saturday, August 10, 12 noon at the Inglewood Library.

Free Emerald Ash Borer Program

presented by the

Metro Tree Advisory Committee

Nashville has many beautiful native ash trees in parks, on school grounds, along city streets and in private yards. Sadly, none of these ash trees are immune to the effects of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), an invasive pest rapidly spreading across Middle Tennessee.

The presentation will review how to identify ash trees and EAB management options. Also discussed will be the tree owner’s responsibility, tree debris disposal and how to hire an arborist.

Location: Inglewood Library

4312 Gallatin Pike

Date: Saturday, August 10

Time: 12:00 Noon

Also refer to the EAB website, trees.nashville.gov, to download a Managing the Emerald Ash Borer Epidemic in Nashville brochure or call, 615-862-5000 to have one mailed to you.

To schedule a free EAB presentation, register at trees.nashville.gov or contact Metro Public Works Horticulturist, Jennifer Smith at Jennife...@nashville.gov or 615-862-8708.

The EAB Speaker’s Bureau is presented by the Metro Tree Advisory Committee. The Committee’s mission is to promote tree planting and preservation throughout the city.

Thank You,

Jennifer Smith
