South Hills Genealogists (SHG) meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the South Side Carnegie Library, 2205 East Carson Street Pittsburgh, PA 15203. SHG is a group of individuals interested in researching their family histories and sharing the resources that they use to complete this research. Our areas of focus are the communities south (through Peters and Union Townships) and west of the Monongahela River, and those that are cut through by or east of PA S.R. 19. We have a strong desire to share our communities’ resources, as well those of the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and Southwestern Pennsylvania. Membership and participation in activities are not limited to just present and former South Hills residents, but anyone who wants to enrich their genealogical experience. Communities include:
