What, Back to School Already?!?

The other day, I walked into a store to do some shopping, and was amazed that they already had back to school stuff up!  I mean, it's not even August yet!

Here at the South Hill String Studio, we're getting ready for the school season, too.  Most youth Orchestras start rehearsing again in the fall, and our studio orchestra, the South Hill Chamber Orchestra, is no exception.  So I'm already thinking about what music would be fun to play in the fall quarter.

The Tacoma Youth Symphony starts rehearsals in the fall, too.  But they have something else as well: an audition.  Their auditions take place towards the end of August, so if you're thinking about playing with them this year, you should already be preparing.

School orchestras start in the fall.  Does your child want to play in his or her school orchestra this year?  Starting lessons a little early will help give them the edge they need to succeed with these challenging instruments, and taking lessons before going back to school will ensure that your child made progress over the summer.

So if you're thinking about lessons, now is the perfect time to act.  You can check out details on my website, and get regular updates about the studio on Facebook and the South Hill String Studio blog.  I look forward to hearing from you soon!
