Without the roosters it was very quiet in the yard. Without the hens it is very still. Wasn't expected that.

Hmmm. Maybe after a breather, you'll ease back into chickens. It might be like a virus, except that once you've been infected with the chicken keeping bug, you never get over it!

I was not planning on running the chicken coop tour again this year. (I would feel hypocritical to do so when I gave up keeping chickens.) However, I have heard from a few people that they would like to see it happen again. There is also a volunteer in coordinating a biking tour of the coops also. If someone else would like to pick up where we left off last year that would be fantastic. I would be happy to pass along the information I have that would be useful again this year.

Chris and I continue to miss the chickens. The two bunnies now living in the coop and run are grateful for the luxurious accommodations, however.
