This past weekend I added to the coop. Before, the coop had only one free standing laying box but with more chickens on the way we needed more. The coop now sports a new "wing" containing four laying boxes. Being a good Scot I was not about to buy materials and so used as much stuff as I could find around the property. The upshot of this conservatism is that while there are four nests they are narrower than the standard 12" -- mostly due to miss measuring.

First clutch of the season, I limited the hen to 6 eggs and 4 hatched. The rooster is very proud. Peep peep peep!
