Hello,
Sorry to have missed your coop tour. I heard about it after it took
place. I have a coop and a small flock in Saunderstown. I am
interested in adding a bantie hens and a rooster to the flock. Do any
of you have or know of anyone who may have some available for sale?

Many thanks, Lisa McM

HI Lisa -

Welcome to the group!

We are in the Pier and have a couple young (8 weeks) Ameraucana (blue green egg layers) cockerels who will likely need to be moved along to new homes. Not sure about which if any of our hens my daughter might bear to part with? We do have a hen sitting on a clutch of 8 eggs right now - will hatch in about 3 weeks. Most will be Salmon Favorelle & Ameracauna mix. Likely that all will be up for adoption. Not sure if you can wait for chicks, or if you want already laying hens & mature roo? Would LOVE to talk with you. Email...

:-) Kira.

Hi Kira,

Thanks for responding to my inquiry.  I'm excited that there are more chicken keepers nearby!

I'm interested in integrating one rooster into the flock and would love some blue egg layers.  My girls produce browns and beiges.  They are now ages 4-5 and lay everyother day.  I can wait for pullets but would like a rooster asap.

We have a secure coop and aviary.  The girls come out into the garden when we are at home, only.  Our garden is fenced as well.

Please let me know who might be available to be sold.  If you'd like to visit our home and garden, that's fine too!

Thanks, Lisa

Hi,
My neighbor has a beautiful and nice (not aggressive) young rooster that she is trying to place. If anyone is interested, please let me know and I'll pass along the info. or give you her number.
Thanks!
Ruth
