Hope it has been a good summer for all... and that those of you who
endured chicken drama and heartache are healing. We are having an
idyllic morning here in Narragansett Pier... sitting at the picnic
table on the lap top with our small family of Bantam Ameraucanas
scratching about. They'll soon be setting sail - for relocation to
Block Island - we've raised them for a friend! Lucky them :-)

With that plan in place, we are beginning our search for 2 or 3 bantam
hens to keep our home grown 3 month old cockerel "Happy" company.
Hoping maybe someone of you have a few you might be willing to part
with? They don't need to be laying, but should probably be at least a
couple months... or, older more mature hens? My daughter Bryn would
love more Ameraucanas, but that is a long shot... Barnyared mixes
welcome!

Best,
k & b

Hi Kira and Bryn,

I don't have any chickens available, but I do recall Jen at
Huckleberry Farm in Foster stating that she'll have some 1 year olds
available in September.
I've lost her contact info. I know you have it, but could you share
it with the group? I purchased a pair of bantie Rhode Island Reds
and two Americauna pullets from her early this summer. They are all
doing great. We also hatched two of the RIR's eggs and now have 7
week old chicks running around with their mother hens.
Our flock is back up to 8. It's great!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Hello everyone,

I'd also be interested in a few more hens. Andrew and Chris - the 6
mo old 'hens' grew up to be beautiful roosters with wake up calls
every am!
