Hi,

Thank you for all the recommendations for finding natural wood slabs.

I have another question — does anyone here have a saw that can cut the shelves lengthwise? Meaning, reduce their thickness?

Thanks in advance and have a great week 🙏🏻

Hi Meytal.
I'm interested if you would please share the live-edge slab sources you learned?

Re sawing slabs to reduce thickness, one option is the guy Chuck who we recommended last week:
Sawyer / mill service -- also live-edge wood slabs --  are available from a former neighbor:
Charlie White aka Crazy Grains Limited, 907.315.4827
   Crazygrai...@gmail.com, IG: @crazygrainsunlimited
In addition to live edge slabs available for purchase, he also offers mill / sawyer service with his impressive at-home mill (logs up to about D 5 ft x L 12 ft, ~5 tons.) and truck with lift for hauling.  He is an experienced construction contractor who could help with your projects like installing that new wood-slab counter;  and not sure but we think he might offer custom tables or tops using his slabs.  Chuck was our neighbor for many years on SE Park Ave and is now in N Albany.  Good guy.  -jen & kevin

I have some slabs.  I have some listed on fb and I'll post a link on the commercial list.
