When the city decided that they needed to make a collector out of Alexander. The engineer was Gordon Wyatt. I had a chat with him one day and I asked him why. He told me that there were certain specifications that they had to meet to provide certain services. I then ask him what if nobody wanted his certain services? He had no answer for me. Mark w

       The city is planning on redoing Alexander Avenue this coming summer. I don't know what that will involve although the city surveyor that I talked to said that they were trying to decide what to do with the big trees in front of 1110 Southeast Alexander. Mark w

I hadn't heard of any suggestion to widen the road, so I'm surprised to hear that surveyors indicated that trees are potentially in danger. 

I do wish the City would do more to slow traffic and/or protect cyclists. I often go to a walk as people are traveling to Lincoln Elementary, and I simultaneously silently cheer on and nervously watch the handful of kids biking to school.  And it's on the Safe Routes to School map!

Thank you for the good information. Looks like the only thing that's going to be affecting me is that they're going to put street light again from Crystal Lake Drive 400 ft on Alexander. Lose some more night sky.
