Hello Active Transportation Newsletter Recipients,
As of this morning, the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has moved pedestrians, bicyclists and one lane of traffic onto the new Van Buren Bridge. The new pedestrian and bicycle path is open, but please use caution – ODOT will be continuing to work on the east side of the path. People walking and biking can use the traffic signal on the east side of the bridge to connect with the shared use path on the north side of highway 34.
ODOT will be continuing to work on the new bridge and will start taking down the temporary detour bridge.
More information about the project is available on the project webpage.
