Does anyone know who the owner / rider is of the unbelievably loud motorcycle the zooms around our neighborhood usually in the evenings? He goes by so fast I don’t have time to get eyes on him. It’s beyond rude - and dangerous. I’d dearly love to report him to the police / sheriff for noise and speed violations. Please if you are or know the person who is this rider -tell him to GO SOMEPLACE ELSE (like maybe Texas). His “fun” is disturbing an entire community.

He goes past our place, and I sure dislike the noise.  But:  I think it's once per day and maybe it's that person's commute.  When it comes to certain very rustic wood burning stoves and some loud vehicles, it may be related to income and necessity.  Maybe this is a good spot to ask if anyone wants to pitch in some $ to help some of our neighbors upgrade their stoves and motorized bicycles. sue

I hear several -- there is one along Ryan who owns a separate stinky toxic classic car that he likes to rev and poison the entire block with the smell of turpentine and death.  He also rolls around on a loud, inconsiderate motorcycle.

Unfortunately, the cops in this town don't care about the noise/disturbance.  I've seen tricked out Honda accord-style cars sound like someone is firing a gun, drive right by Corvallis PD vehicles without getting pulled over.  More unfortunately, approaching and trying to reason with someone who'd make this a habit in the first place... not always a safe bet.

Motorcyclist here, but not the culprit. I'm not sure who they are (yet) but when I meet them at "bike night" I will relay that I and other southtown neighbors aren't pleased with their speed or wheelies. Not much to do about his modified exhaust choice, but this isn't a 40mph area for anyone!
