Calling all southtown community building enthusiasts:
Heart in the Valley Co-op on Alexander is hosting a gift circle and potluck this Thursday the 16th between 4:30 and 7:30.
(Come anytime, stay as long as you like.)
What's a gift circle?
A chance to weave community from gifts!
Even if you don't end up giving or receiving anything from anyone you connect with... it's still enlivening to at least know what needs and gifts are moving in our neighborhood.
How to Participate:
This gift circle will be passive - just write one thing you need and one thing you might be able to give on your name tag. As you enjoy the outdoor potluck with others, see if any of your needs/gifts are a match.
Idea of needs you could write on your nametag:
- used lumber to build a garden
- a ladder to clean my gutter
- a bike
- office furniture for a community center
- a ride to the airport next week
Ideas of gifts you might be willing to offer on your nametag:
- garden produce
- language practice
- plant propagation
- a bike
- advice on ____

If you don't know where the co-op is located, send us an email for the address.
And to all those celebrating Yom Kippur, shanah tovah!
