Department of Transportation. Their Pedestrian Bicycle Strategic
Funding Program has a bunch of possibilities around the state
based on equity, crash incidence, surrounding population and
school routes. More info and links below.
For Third St the proposal for this program is to upgrade
crossings at Chapman and Tunison (if viable) and add lighting from
Chapman to Richland. There's another
project in Corvallis on this survey. It's along Philomath Blvd.
I'm all for safety improvements for active transportation, especially on a high crash corridor in a neighborhood with some high needs.
