I’m posting this for a friend, Liv, who is based in Albany and only recently learned about this group and doesn’t yet have her own posting privileges. This NeST Pinata Workshop and fundraiser is in Avery Park this Sunday, June 14.

In Liv’s words:

Fun family friendly event at Avery Park!🪅 Neighbors Stand Together (NeST) is hosting an educational and crafty workshop for kids and kids at heart. Learn the fascinating history of the piñata, and then decorate and fill your own piñata to take home! This fundraiser will contribute to the NeST fund, which goes towards basic needs and legal fees for vulnerable immigrant families in Linn and Benton County. $25/piñata+fillings, or $50 for a large piñata+fillings suggested donation. Stay til the end to help smash a GIANT piñata!
