                      SOUTH CITY DUSSEHRA CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE

Poster Drawing Competition

 

The South City Dussehra Celebration Committee ('SCDCC') is pleased to announce a 'Poster Drawing/Painting' competition for residents of all age-groups. Details are provided below:

 

Date & Place     : Monday 19th October 2015 (Shashthi), 11 a.m. at the Durga Puja pandal, CA2 site.

 

Entry fees         : There is no entry fee.

 

Age-groups      :  Group A (‘Colorful Kids’)         - Age 3 to 5+ years;

                           Group B (‘Budding painters’)   - Age 6 to 9+ years;

               Group C (‘Thinking artists’)      - 10 years and above. No upper limit.

 

Themes            : For Group A (‘Colorful Kids’)    - Colour a drawing : A drawing will be provided. The

                                                  participant will be required to only colour it.

                          

  For Group B (‘Budding artists’) - Draw and colour a poster on the theme: ‘Clouds

 

For Group C (‘Thinking artists’) - Think, draw and colour a poster, to reflect the following

  theme. Add an appropriate caption.

 

Theme: “Man worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this  Nature he is destroying is this God he’s worshipping”  (Hubert Reeves)

 

Prizes              :  There will be several prizes. Details will be announced in due course.

 

Other info         : 1.  SCDCC will provide A4 size papers

                          2.  The competition will start at 11 am and will last for 1 hour

3.  Any medium may be used (pencil only, colour pencils, crayons, water colour, pastels etc). Each competitor is requested to bring his/her own drawing/colouring material, sharpener, eraser etc. Bring a clip-board / hard board too (the floor is not a firm surface). 

                          4.  Parents will be required to vacate the venue while the competition is on.

5.  SCDCC will have the right to reproduce and display the drawings.

6.  SCDCC will take no responsibility for returning the drawings. Participants may take back their drawings anytime after 22nd Oct afternoon from the display area of the pandal.

7.  A participant may also choose to paint for pleasure without entering the competition.

8.  SCDCC’s decision will be final in all matters.

All children and adults resident in South City, irrespective of age, are cordially invited to participate.

 

Parents are requested to encourage the children to practice right from now so that they may produce an excellent piece. We have used winning entries as Souvenir covers in the past.

 

Registration: Please register with Names, Age, Apartment no., Telephone no., and Parent’s Name to: Sm.Nandita Sengupta (Mobile:9742054435; Extn. 6196) by telephone/SMS, or by replying to this mail. Registrations will be accepted on first-come-first-served basis.

 

Registration will close on: Friday, 16th October 2015 (or earlier if registrations exceed venue capacity).
