"Where Tradition Meets Togetherness"

Discover the Myth, Celebrate the Goddess

Dear friend,

As the rhythms of the dhaak echo closer and the scent of shiuli fills the air, this is a reminder … the time to come together to celebrate Ma Durga — not just as a deity, but as a powerful symbol of hope, strength, and divine feminine energy… is less than two weeks away.

But do you know the legend behind her?

The Story of Ma Durga
Long ago, a powerful demon named Mahishasura terrorized the heavens and the earth. Invincible to any man, he was granted a boon by the gods — but his arrogance grew, and chaos followed. In their desperation, the gods united their divine energies, and from that cosmic blaze arose Ma Durga, a warrior goddess with ten arms, riding a lion, armed with celestial weapons.

For nine days, she fought the demon and his monstrous army. On the tenth day — Vijayadashami, she triumphed, restoring peace and balance to the universe.

Ma Durga represents Shakti — the power within us all to overcome darkness with courage, compassion, and unity.
