I hope each and everyone here has a safe and happy holiday season.
2009 has been a trying year for many. I hope that 2010 brings ease to
many who need it.

The Universe rewards appreciation. When you appreciate what little
blessings you receive every day, more come your way. It is sometimes
hard to see this in action when we are all waging daily survival in
our jobs, our community and our friends and family. Take a moment to
be truly appreciative for something small and you will feel the
Universe smile in response.

On to the New Year.

I am pleased to announce that I have worked out a deal with the
Columbia YMCA. I will be teaching T'ai Chi Ch'uan at two separate
locations with designs of doing more and more classes at all four
locations as the year moves on. Classes start the week of January
11th. Here is the tenative schedule that will probably be published at
the YCMA calendar very soon.

Lexington location: Wednesdays, 5:45am and Saturdays 9:30am.
Jeep Rogers location (Lake Carolina): Thursdays, 7:15pm.

I am also pleased to announce that I am in the final stages of
scheduling a multi-part Qigong workshop in Aiken. The first workshop
will begin in February. The topic of this workshop is one that many of
you have requested. I will be teaching External Qi Healing. Due to the
nature and pure breadth of content, this workshop can not be taught in
one afternoon or even one weekend (unlike other energy arts...think
about that for a moment). The final details are not in place, but it
will be at least 5 sessions, taught back to back. My goal is to start
in February and end in June with each section being taught on the
first weekend of every month for easy scheduling. I think this will
really help those with tight schedules (and budgets) while allowing
everyone a chance to study in between class and really absorb the
material - no pun intended. :-) Stay tuned. Feel free to email me with
your questions.

Be sure to check out a future edition of Natural Awakenings (Columbia
edition) as I've written an article on the real history and origins of
Qigong.

That's it for now.

As always, best wishes and good qi to all.

with a bow,

-Mark
