The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness along with the Morris County Office of Emergency Management will be sponsoring a delivery of a one-day training course titled, “Bomb Threat Management (BTM) Planning Course” (MGT-451). The course will be instructed by the Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) within the Department of Homeland

Security (DHS). There is no-cost to attend this training.

 

Course Description:

This course provides students foundational knowledge on the DHS risk management process and bomb threat management procedures and gives students the opportunity to apply this knowledge to the evaluation of a bomb threat management plan.

 

This is a one day, in-person instructor-led training covering the following topics:

·      Risk Management

·      BTM plan development, part A and B

·      Capstone activity: BTM plan revision

 

Audience:

The BTM Planning course is designed for public and private sector emergency management representatives, critical infrastructure owners and operators, and law enforcement officials.

 

Session & Registration:

Spaces are limited and preregistration is required one week prior to each delivery. You must have a FEMA SID number before you can apply for the class. If you need a FEMA SID number, go to: https://cdp.dhs.gov/FEMASID and click “Register for FEMA SID” or click “Forgot FEMA SID?” if you have forgotten your FEMA SID. Registering for a FEMA SID number does not register you for this class. You must apply for the class separately by following the instructions in the attached .pdf. Once registered, email cpet...@njohsp.gov for additional steps required for base access.
