Hi all,

I've started reading the Functional Programming in Scala book by Runar and Paul (see http://www.manning.com/bjarnason/) and I found it to be a very good read.
If you've enjoyed Martin Odersky's Scala course on Coursera (https://www.coursera.org/course/progfun), then you might enjoy the book. The authors do a very good job at presenting the purely functional aspects of Scala (i.e. programming with pure functions and handling side effects with care). The book is full of exercises and it is probably recommended that you do them to let the concepts sink in better.

Guillaume.

Neat! I'll add that one to my catalog

Warmest Regards,
Mitchell
