External Relations:

50% discount on lunch from Debonairs

KFC, Wimpy, Nandos, Steers and Pizza Perfect will be approached again next week to negotiate discounts.

5 lunches to be raised by Saturday 9th June 2012.

Looking at PicknPay for snacks and tea etc. OC must also approach retail outlets in the coming week.

 

Finance:

Kumbi and Wesley will speak to Chichi about making a budget. We are making use of the MC bank account.

Ideas for raising funds is to print raffle sheets for the OC and fill them out, to ask for neighbouring car dealerships to sponsor us and to approach shops and sell their merchandise to delegates for commission. These should be included in the delegate mailer to let delegates know what they can buy etc.

 

Logistics:

Venue:

Khanyi and Monique are waiting for confirmation of exact number of delegates and raised lunches.

Will sign an agreement on the 15th of June. Must organise for a room on the 28th for the OC, MC and facilitators, at no cost.

A room(preferably a boardroom) is needed for all the days, with another projector.

Transport:

Monique to check with Megabus for the 29th and Khanyi to check with her brother for transport to and from airport/park station. Rahul has a contact(Obri) which he can give to Thabiso(to give to Monique).

Alcohol:

Nyiko and Khanyi will go to Soweto to get crates on 11th June.

Merchandise:

We will order 300 wristbands at R6 each and charge delegates R10 each.

We will order 150 t-shirts and Monique will contact Sechaba for details and refer back to Kumbi.

To sell marshmallow sticks. R1 per stick(3 marshmallows on each stick) and roast them on the bonfire.
