in 153 days, Camp Keanae will open its arms to us for the fifth year of SOURCE! The theme is "Circus of Dreams."
Already we are seeing dreams come to life. The folks at our annual location have wanted the hillside cleared out for some time and the last two months have seen 5 work trips with over 100 SOURCErs cutting away the jungle to reveal a raised walkway, hillside and future SOURCE amphitheater.
*THEME CAMPS*
This means we've got more room for theme camps! Get your theme camp organized soon as we'll have a registration process this year so we can appropriately design the space layout: proper placement in 2012! It will likely benefit your placement if your theme camp fits the festival theme.
*ARTSEED*
Come tomorrow evening to reSOURCE in Haiku for the first ever "artseed". Share your idea for an art project at SOURCE. We have proven ourselves to be a successful arts incubator. If you've never attended an ARTstorm, this will give you a small taste. Please take a moment to think of your favorite artist on Maui and let them know about this opportunity to broaden our reach:

*MEMBERSHIP 2012 : $222*
SOURCE is a year round event culminating with the four day festival. We don't buy "tickets" anymore, we join. Unfortunately, Camp Keanae has limited space. The tiered price point is meant to reward people who are active in SOURCE year round and also to be sensitive to various economic backgrounds. Right now, a handful of $108 annual fee options remain.
*SOURCE CIRCUS OF DREAMS WILL SELLOUT*
There will be no sales at the gate, there will be no last minute additional tickets. This year, Burning Man sold out a month before the festival and our capacity is 1/100 of the Black Rock City. Check the membership page for limited discount prices. The $108 option is almost gone.

While we don't "sell" tickets anymore, one is included in the price of membership and you will receive a paper ticket at the gate when you enter. Have a look at the history of SOURCE tickets and let us know what you think of the proposed image for 2012:

The next Work n Burn gathering where we contribute our time to Camp Keanae has the theme "Spartacus". Please bring appropriate brush clearing wear. shoes, gloves or willingness to rock it in a bikini. New rule- no one sleeps on the gym floor! Dodgeball and dancing at any moment. Your best bet for decent sleep is to bring a tent. This is the big last worknburn with a roman touch! Dream on this.

We have been dedicated since our inception to adding value to the YMCA- painting virtually every paintable surface, building walkways and a terrace, and now clearing the jungle to name few. As well, we get along with our hosts and the neighbors who live on the peninsula by (1). not being naked at the pools nor walking in packs on the road (2). respecting the no drinking policy (IF SECURITY SPOTS A BOTTLE OR CAN OF BOOZE IN YOUR HANDS YOU WILL BE EJECTED),
*ART GALLERY TOURS*
More emphasis than ever before will be put on the placed art outside and inside. At a set time, artists will stand by their work to answer questions as the art tour circles the grounds. Seeking docents! Do you want to get intimately involved with the artists and their work? Must be engaging, clear, and dedicated to knowing enough about the art to give it context.
*MIRACLE*
For years we've successfully cultivated a community in which no artist/performer/presenter is paid, rather we each share in the cost of camping safely and in abundance. This is not done to exacerbate exploitation of the arts but rather quite the opposite. We declare a level of equality among various artists from MUSIC to FOOD and everything in between. With that understood, many of us have a dream performer, dream artist, dream lecturer that we want to invite from the far corners of the earth to share with us. Thus, we will be launching a MIRACLE grant fund this year. You will apply for your dream guest on the website.
*GIFT ECONOMY*
No commerce nor commercial promotion takes place at SOURCE. Please share in the magic of the gift economy. The gift economy supersedes a barter economy. Dream up.
