I was trying to figure that out on my google maps ...sorry I didn't make it.  I was powwowing and reconnecting with old friend Mishel Narvaez and getting ideas and inspiration for  Art Maui as well as SOURCE 2015. I definitely will be at the next one or if it is cool to go whenever weather permitting and available ride.?. My regular housecleaning job is flexible somewhat. When is the projected dates for the festival?  Was the rumor for Easter weekend correct? (Art Maui 2015 opening reception is April 4th, Lunar eclipse that day also, my 62nd birthday is April 3rd....aught to be very auspicious weekend!).If there are any spontaneous groups headed out for gardening-clearing-cleaning. I can be contacted at 707-799-1701. I'm in Kihei at my sister's. Excited about this year. Much Aloha , Hugs Annie

rumors about the easter weekend are mostly true.  tho we face serious and unforseen challenges with the space that may have us postpone for 10 months and instead invite all up to another location for the baby luau and moon viewing romp.

in the meantime: meeting again at resource 7-9 this wednesday eve. most likely pushing the worknburn back a week and discussing musical offerings and the 2 acres offered to the community to grow breakfast lunch and dinner. Resource will be open at 6am if you want to come and relax/chat first. see you there!

Mahalo for the update! Do you know of anyone going to the meeting from the Kihei side?  I would love to go and share my energy towards the garden and clearing the land.. I just got copies of John Jeavons book "How to Grow More Vegetables * than you ever thought possible on less land than you can imagine" (one of my bibles) and this 8th edition includes self sustaining design beds. Plus the old time favorite "Back To Basics" by Reader's Digest, a homesteading book that shows you how to do just about everything. I can be reached at 707-799-1701 and live with my family on Hoalike at the top of Ohukai.
On a different note, I have a friend Kathleen Waite who has 20 acres in lower Nahiku at the end of the dirt road across from George Harrison's estate who could definitely use a 'work n burn' event to help her recover her cabins and land.(after a lengthy legal battle she finally won!) I lived there part time with her Mom Beverly from 2002 until 2007 when she passed away. A beautiful piece of land, a little difficult to get to - 4 wheel drive, but so worthy of a joyful music event.
 Mahalo Hugs , Annie

aloha annie!

sorry it took so long for me to check in.

meetings will resume when the space makes any headway towards improving the road.  no point in planning without any guaranteed space.

and i wish worknburns would just happen for all the many many ppl who have asked for help.  it takes something special to motivate a bunch of people.  and helping someone clear private land for themselves or pass out flyers for a political campaign or even team up on a beach cleanup has never worked out for us yet.  we gather for source and otherwise all do various helping projects on our own time.

i hope you are well these days.

something of note:  byan axtell handed and sold off a bunch of gear but left for me a couple bins of paintings.  i think they are yours that have been missing for years.  they are at resource now.  does this all ring a bell?

Just to touch in....

I only sold what belonged to me... nothing of anyone else's property....
