aloha sourcers

we have the weekend of may 10 to return to keanae and finish up some projects we started this february.  namely filling in and dissapearing the trenches that were dug at source.

this work needs to get done before the summer season gets underway out there even if it means hiring a contractor to do that for us.

we have never done that in the past and i don't intend to. this job simply has unusual importance and a deadline fast approaching.

apparently we could also join a couple troops of local boy scouts out there may 2nd 3rd and 4th if we so desire.

pls respond on this forum if you can make it on the 10th weekend.  this will be our second worknburn of the year and we will be conducting burn tests towards summer's end as well as coordinating and dreaming towards our core burn on the big playa across the water.

last but not least, it is time for us to commit to the source ampitheater out there and may 10th will be our opportunity to do so.

hope to see you all in the next few days and then out at keanae on the 10th!

Perhaps it would be helpful to list the projects to be done, there level of priority, and necessary (or minimum) hands to accomplish each.

Re: "contractor" I am confused by this and would love further clarity. IE, why are we considered financially responsible for the work to be done. Save for filling in some of the trenching, which seems a wash, since by us doing that work, we saved the field from worse damage, what else are we "on the hook for?"

Personally that weekend is not looking good for my availability.

Also, BTW, I lent Charlie a measuring wheel to gauge the level of pipe needed to install permanent drainage. I would like to get that tool back.

Awaiting further clarification...

James

the work we are on the hook for is specifically filling in all of the trenches which were dug during source.

that's it in terms of responsibilities at this point and needs to be addressed and completed before the summer school groups arrive at the end of may.

lower priority projects that are up for consideration include carving out the ampitheater this year.  not necessary if we don't have the will to complete this project in a year.

as to tools that are out in keanae still i advise contacting charlie directly.

i know that weekend includes events and weddings, it happens to be the only weekend available according to the y.

this work could likely be done in one afternoon by a crew of 10.

i hope that clarifies

Hey sourcers!  lets have a meeting this tuesday (or wednesday) to plan for the 10th and wrap lingering source questions and address the core burn.

anyone have a preference for tuesday vs. wednesday evening?
