Hey guys,
The assignment as we discussed it last thursday is now on the wiki:
http://cratel.wichita.edu/cratel/weekly_homework_assignments
here's a cut and paste. Links probably don't work:
October 5th (Due October 11th by 12:00AM)
-
Modify a preexisting patch or build your own
patch to build something, literally anything that uses the
rfft~ as part or all of its way to analyze or create a new sound.
Possibilities:
- onset detection. What is onset detection and how could a
frequency analysis help with this?
- cross synthesis: combining sounds. To start with this you
could modify the patch
we made in class Oct. 5.
- pitch/time
change: modify Miller Puckette's I.07 phase vocoder patch in the audio
examples folder of the help directory to have a different interface
and/or modify your own sounds etc.
- Modify any of the fft
examples given in section I of the 3.audio examples folder in Pd's help
directory. Remember these examples are lettered and numbered to line up
with Miller
Puckette's book.
- As always, modify someone else's patch.
