Steve was mentioning that Audacity wasn't so good about handling grids
etc. for lining up audio to a beat. There is an alternative. Kristal is
a free multi-track audio editor for Windows only, and many seem to be
saying it is better than Audacity. I have played with it a bit and it
seemed to work very well. It doesn't have the built-in effects that
Audacity has, but it *does* offer the grid lineup and some other
features. It also accepts VST plugins. Give it a shot and let us know
how it works:
