So here's a little additive synth thing, you can adjust the volume and pitch of two oscillators, and adjust the pitch of the entire sound too.  Try this: turn the pitch up really high, and then offset the two osc pitches by a little.  Even when the pitch is so high you can barely hear it, when they start to beat it's loud.
