VST plug-in not recognized

Hey there!
Long time no read… I am running into an issue. I just installed a plug-in which is perfect for usage in the VST rack (Soundminer 4.5v279 Pro on Mac). However, it won’t be recognized for some reason. Reason, Wavelab etc do recognize the plug-in just fine. I re-scanned and trashed the “pluginInfo.plist” without luck.
There are currently two things coming to my mind what could possibly cause this: a) the plug-in is VST2.4. Does Soundminer only support VST3? Or b) it is a 64-bit only plug-in (which is standard now for a while, so I would believe this is not the issue) and I can not find any information if Soundminer is 32-bit or 64-bit, only that it transfers in 64-bit to a host.

Any help is much appreciated!

Only 32 bit plugs are supported in 4.5pro VSTRack

A 64bit version of the entire app is in the works and that will be added to that new version being worked on.

alright, good to know. Any sort of eta? No exact dates, but something like mid 2018 or fall 2019 might help.

I have no exact day other than to say it is a priority item.  V4.5 has a lot of code that spans more than 15 years and Justin has decided to re-write it all with some great new stuff and our hope is that a new 'v5' would be available somewhere between the fall and the end of the year (2018).   Betas to test may be available sooner.

Hi David,

thanks for the input. I am not sure I read this right: my plug-in already is 64-bit, 32-lives seems to bridge 32-bit plugins to 64-bit hosts. The host in this case is Soundminer which is 32-bit and does not support 64-bit right now. So basically I would need the opposite of 32-lives or not?
