Spotting region - Sample offset - error!!!

I am getting a protools error when i spot regions toto protools: "The
sample offset selected to spot the region is larger than the edit
selection. Unable to spot region, please try a different offset." I
have seen this before on a few different systems and the fix was to
delete the databases and start over, but this is not working on this
system
Any ideas how to fix?
I have deleted the contents of: user library/application support/
soundminer .

Pretty sure that means you have a selection in ProTools(its ProTools'
error and a fairly new one as well)
Make sure you don't have anything selected on a track and see if that
makes a difference(In PT hit arrow down then up and that should reset
the selection)
