Why is my first post not appearing?

Hey Everybody,

Because of SPAM issues, this if forum is set up so that a new member's
very first post must be moderated before it shows up on the forum. I
know this is annoying, but so is individually deleting 20 ads for fake
Rolex's and "male enhancement" products. ;-) Unfortunately, Google
doesn't make it easy to block out potential SPAM or at least batch
delete all of one individual's posts at once. As far as I know, you
have to do it one-at-a-time. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The other option would be to have the forum be invite-only whereby
people can request an invite. I feel like that creates a vibe of
exclusivity which sort of defeats the spirit of this forum.

Of course I'm open to suggestions. I check this board at least once or
twice a day and I receive emails for each post, so chances are that
new members' first posts should not be delayed by an unreasonable
amount of time in most cases.
