Hello,
I am writing to discuss some problems with the use of Sound Mapping Tools. I'm trying to work with this toolbox in ArcGIS 10.6. I asked in this forum some time ago if the toolbox works well in this version and someone said yes, at least with the NMSIMGIS model, but I'm having problems. These are the ones:
  1. Subfolders that should be there, but aren't. In the SPreaAD-GIS model, ask to put "Output directory". In the tool's help it says "Base directory where a subfolder"/spreadgis" will be created containing the model results. This directory must already exist", but it doesn't. (The same is true for the NMSIMGIS model, with the subfolder "/nmsimgis"). I was able to advance the folder selection by creating it manually.
  2. Error with SPRead-GIS. After entering the data, an error window appears: "ImportError: No module named soundprophlpr"; (see 01 - SPReadGIS - Data.PNG and 02 - SPReadGIS -Error.PNG). I saw that in the "Details" document, in the "Issues" section, it says something about this error: "When run from Python, the soundprophlpr function changes the global extent, and does not restore it to the original extent settings upon completion". But what does this mean? Can it be corrected or does the model definitely not work on my computer with ArcGIS 10.6?
  3. Error with the "Convert to SRC" tool. I have also tried to use the SMSIMGIS model, but I cannot convert the ".csv" file to ".src". The same error appears: "ImportError: No module named soundprophlpr". (see 03 - Convert to SRC - Data.PNG and 04 - Convert to SRC - Error.PNG).

Please, can someone help me with this? I would appreciate explanations and guidance to be able to run the models.

Thanks in advance!

I leave the explanatory images below, where the parameters entered are shown

Those are all common errors not necessarily regarding 10.6.

Import errors, need to make sure the toolbox is in the same folder as the sound code. Python needs to import it directly.

Thank you, Douglas,

I'll run more tests on your advice.
