Lots of spam lately

Can you kick "andra shotts" out of the group, There is too much spam.

Apologies for the delayed response. Sorry - ironically, my spam filter was catching most of the group messages, so they weren't hitting my email, and I was getting moderator reports about spam being blocked, so I thought it was under control.

I will look into why this was happening and how to stop it.

OK. I think I've banned the spam accounts from the group, and I've changed the settings so that new users need to ask to join the group and non-member posts are moderated by default. I thought one had to be part of the group to post in the first place, but apparently not.
