Welcome to the Sound Mapping Tools Users Group.

Sound Mapping Tools is an ArcGIS toolbox designed to provide free, spatially-explicit tools for modeling sound propagation across a landscape. Potential applications include assessing noise impacts from off-road vehicles, energy development, or traffic noise

- Click on the item you want to download, and click on the download arrow (may be hidden) in the upper middle of the browser window.
- In order to unzip it, you need to get the password, which you can get by registering here: https://goo.gl/forms/q716RxwyFYR5gLH82
- Registration is free and should take less than 2 minutes
- If you cannot submit the registration form after clicking on the link, try copying and pasting the link instead

People without a gmail address or with a government address (whether administered by gmail or not) may have difficulty subscribing to the Users' Group. One solution to this problem is to register for a free gmail account and to access the users' group with that. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we have not found a satisfactory (free) solution to this problem.

We strongly recommended that you read the README.txt included with the toolbox. It contains a list of known issues, and you should seriously consider these issues before using the toolbox for real applications.
