SoundCloud Custom Player not working on iPad and iPhone Firmware Version 4.2.1

I checked the example players on this page:

on a brand new iPad and iPhone with Firmware Version 4.2.1 and none of
them worked.

JavaScript was enabled in Mobile Safari.

Why does this custom player not work of those devices?

The page does load and the player menu loads as well but the track
simply does not play. At times Safari would even crash on both the
devices. I would really like to start using this custom player and
embed it on websites I make to support people using such devices but I
can't when even the example players from the official soundcloud
github page do not work.

Any help is much appreciated. All the example players work well on the
desktop and laptop be this running Mac or Windows.

Is there an official SoundCloud employee here that can look into this?

I would really like to start embedding the custom player on websites
but am afraid it won't work just like on the official example page.

Is there anyone else here that can confirm with working examples that
the custom player does work on the iPad or iPhone with firmware
version 3.2 and above?

hi sam,

we're looking into the problem with the examples right now. It seems, there's an old version of the code uploaded there.

We have major sites and artists using our custom player, one of the reasons being it's iOS support. Please get the latest version from the github and try it out.
