MACSEM conference - March 26-27 - registration open now

Dear sound studies friends,

We're excited to announce that registration for the upcoming 2022 MACSEM virtual conference is open now.

MACSEM is an annual conference that highlights the incredible work of graduate students working on musical topics at mid-Atlantic institutions, in addition to independent scholars and some faculty. This year's keynote speech will be delivered by Dr. Krystal Klingenberg, curator at the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. and ethnographer of popular music in Uganda.

There will also be a mentoring speed-session. MACSEM is a fun, supportive, student-centered event with great scholarship. And registration is free! (with a suggested donation option).
