Dear all,
I am forwarding an email from Prof. DJ Hatfield on behalf of the SEM Sound Studies Panel Sponsorship Committee:
-----------------------------------
It's hard to believe but the time for pulling together abstracts for the 2022 SEM meetings is drawing near. With this in mind, the members of your panel sponsorship and I are writing to invite proposals for panels to be sponsored by the SEM Sound Studies Section for the 2022 SEM conference in New Orleans
We are, admittedly, beginning a little late this year. So the deadlines are a bit tight. Hopefully, however, you've ideas and maybe a bit of ink on paper or pixels on screen
There are a few ways that you can take part
1. If you have an idea for a panel but need co-panelists, feel free to ask for people to join you by responding to this email (or emailing the list separately)
2. If you would like feedback on panel or paper abstracts, please email them to jacobs...@gmail.com by 2 February. Of course the earlier you send something our way, the sooner the committee can give you feedback!
We may also be able to engage in some panel matchmaking if we have enough papers in hand to create panels. So if you have an abstract for a lone paper together, do send that our way by the 2nd and we will try to set you up with other people
3. If you have a panel together and want to be considered for section sponsorship, send your panel description and the abstracts to jacobsu...@gmail.com by 5 February
Remember that abstracts should conform to the SEM guidelines (including the 250 word limit)
Thank you! Best
DJ on behalf of the SEM Sound Studies Panel Sponsorship Committee
