La Luna Ball: A Night of Enchantment

Hello, 

My name is Lilibeth Montero I am the current treasurer of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Incorporated and one of Co-Chairs for our Annual St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Philanthropic Banquet. 

I am reaching out in regards to our 4th annual St. Jude banquet, La Luna Ball: A Night of Enchantment will be held on Sunday, December 8th, 2019. We will be offering a night of student performances, live entertainment, an open dance floor, and traditional Carribean food. The theme of the night will be to escape the struggles of every day and enter a place of magic and endless hope. The night will honor those who prevail despite their unfavorable circumstances: such as young people of color, DACA-recipient students, immigrant families, and most importantly, the children and families of St. Jude's. All proceeds of our banquet go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Last year we raised $3,627 and are striving to raise even more this year through more ticket sales, donations, and raffle.   

Bodek Lounge charges $250.00 for A/V (screen and projector) and after my funding meeting with SPEC Connaissance they directed me to you in order to see if SPEC sound would be willing to fund this event. For our 3rd Banquet SPEC Sound also funded it. Please let me know what I'd need to do in order to request this funding.

Hello, 

I think I might have been a bit unclear in my email. I wanted to reach out to Spec Sound to see if we would be able to receive a equipment and labor subsidized for our event. We will not be asking you to pay for another group to run sound for the event.  I meant if SPEC Sound could help provide sound equipment and music equipment for the banquet.

Your event sounds incredibly exciting and is for a great cause. Unfortunately our organization can only provide subsidies for groups using our equipment to run their events. For instance, we can subsidize up to $400 in equipment and labor cost for groups using our own services. We cannot however pay for another group to run sound for the event. Sorry for the misundestanding and if there's any way we can help, please let us know.
