Asalaamu Alaikum Dear Community,

Please join the Muslim Life Program at Princeton University for their 2nd Annual Majlis-e-Aza for Imam Husayn (pbuh). This is an opportunity to take part in a spiritual gathering and commemorate the life and tragic marytrdom of the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his 72 companions in Karbala on the day of Ashura, as we consider the struggles for justice in our own time.

The event will consist of Qur'an recitation, a sermon by Sheikh Rizwan Arastu (Princeton Class of '98), and lamentation poetry by world-renowned reciter Mesum Abbas and others, enlivening the timeless legacy of Imam Husayn. To learn more about them, please see their bios below.
