User abuses 30 minutes ban for sending same message.

There is a butthurt moron who calls himself Unsolved Mysteries on Soulseek who opens up non-sharing fake accounts to browse shares from users several times to receive the same "please share" auto message several times, so the user he abuses will be banned for 30 minutes for no reason for sending the same message too many times, wrongfully regarded as spam.

Either the code for this option needs to be changed or this person completely removed from using Soulseek.

Yeah that's not good. I can change the code so that the message only gets sent to each user once per session. Let me know if you're on Windows or Mac if you want to try out the fixed build.

I looked at the code for SoulseekQt and it looks like the empty shares message only gets sent once per user, and only when the user tries to download from you, not when you share.

sorry for the late reply. I had no time.

The abuse stopped. I don't know if you managed to change something yourself, if my own measures had an effect (I geo-banned his area for some time) or if the person got bored by doing his "joke".
(He wrote me he's having "a little fun" with me)

However I thought the message is send out by the system, not the client and I use Nicotine+.

So if it happens again, I'll get in contact with the Nicotine+ guys seeing what they can do about it, but I'll let you know here. Maybe I just need to update to the latest Nicotine+ version which I am not very keen of doing as once I did so, the Nicotine+ config file got completely damaged and I had to do "it" all over again, like making a new user list.

The moron is doing it again, now using my nickname used here "none of the nones". 

He's also sending constant spam mail whining and complaining confused nonsense.

Obviously a psychopathological case. 

I'm not his social worker, "people" like this need to be deleted from Soulseek completely.

Now he's using the nickname "0ldboy" which he stole from another person quite some time ago.

Should be banned of course and finally made sure people with severe mental issues like him are put into closed institutions.
