Hi,

I upgraded SLSK QT after having an old version of it for a few years....

Now when I search, I can't see the number of people in line/queued downloading from users. How do I make this appear in searches? This is pretty important so I don't waste my time downloading from someone who has 500 people in line. I'm not sure why this feature would be toggled off by default in an upgraded version of the program.

Thanks,

I second that!

I've been using the old soulseek NS for a few years too and I recently gave Linux a try again which ultimately brought me to Soulseek QT (because nicotine just isn't that good). Although it took and takes still a bit getting used to the new interface, I'm overall pretty happy with the new slsk qt. However I miss the "Get place in line"-feature very dearly.
I have found this discussion from 2012 where it says that there should be a listing of the place in line somewhere. However I can not find it in either the new, nor the old-style transfer view. Also, there is no entry in the context menu to request the place in line.

As a sort of workaround I now try to get the user information for the user from whom I want to get my place in line. However slsk is not always able to retrieve the user information which shows the number people in the queue of the user, and also it's just the total number of people waiting (and not my place in the line) which is only good as a worst case indicator.

Please, developer(s), bring the "Place in queue"-feature back!

It appears in the search results under the Free column.  This is with the old-style search style results box checked under the UI section.  If it says Y in that column, that means no wait.  Otherwise it lists the number of files in front of you.

If you don't like waiting in big queues, you might consider donating $5 a month to Soulseek so you can get priority and moved to the front of the line.
