Hi

I am UK based user using most recent version of soulseek on mac. I am getting repeated hangs (mostly around searches) with my home wifi network but not on other networks (I'm on virgin media). I've spent a lot of time messing about with port fowarding and UPNP settings etc to no avail. Has anyone had a similar problem and can give me a fix?

Thanks!

Do not use Upnp if you know how to port forward. If possible get rid of ISP provided hardware because its garbage. If you dont want to change isp provided hardware configure your wlan card MAC as static so your IP is always the same, disable upnp, port forward two slsk ports (first one that is specified and second one obfuscated, its right below the first). Still i highly suggest getting rid of ISP hardware, its locked down garbage.

Assuming you have FTTH and your end device is something like Nokia 7368 ISAM ONT G-240W-C you can remove this device entirely and have full control of your network. Read about it on hackgpon.org then you can get yourself something like  ONT LEOX LXT-010G-D and any router that supports VLan tagging on its WAN port, for example  Archer AX53 | AX3000 Dual Band Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router | TP-Link Nordic
