Seems that there is a bug in mutagen that was preventing my files being scanned into shares, only vbr files were scanning.
The solution was to upgrade to Nicotine+ 1.4.1, as the bug has been fixed in this version.
All good now and after cleaning up my collection a little, I've got it all shared.
No problems waking up my drive, (try editing fstab if your on Linux). My machine thinks it's part of the home directory so no permission issues either.
Plenty of bandwidth available, I usually have about 20 Mbps available, so I've opened the taps a bit and I've seen some uploads going out at 1.5 Mbps.
But some uploads can still go out extremely slow and my downloads sometimes come in at snail pace and there is nothing I can do about it, except find a faster source.
Still a little bit buggy, but I'm happy to live with that. I think that quite a lot of animosity is caused by Soulseek's little Gremlins.
We all need to take a chill pill, and if someone points out that I'm not sharing, and brings it to my attention. Thank You, I will make every effort to fix the problem asap.
The developers are aware of the Gremlins, so I don't think that they will build in auto ban features.
It's not in the spirit of Open Source, someone is sharing their time and expertise.
If we don't share, this software won't work for us or the leechers.
