soulseek suddenly disconnects shortly after opening the program

I've been using soulseek for a month and it's been incredible.
Suddenly this week I am disconnected after a few minutes after opening the program, and the only way to fix it seems to be completely closing and re-opening soulseek.

The problem is that this happens every single time and I have no idea why.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Actually even nicotine+ was being weird with downloads.
Using a VPN completely solved the issue for me with the normal SoulseekQT client. I have no idea why it was working perfectly fine before, but yeah, VPN fixed it immediately.

i have the same problem when i open the program i just have a gray window and that's it, the program doesn't open
